WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Every dollar fights cancer two ways. Proceeds fund We Stand Together's Financial Assistance Program — emergency funds for cancer patients in active treatment — and the Natalie Marc Surpris Scholarship Fund for college students battling cancer or affected by a parent's diagnosis. You're not just running. You're paying someone's bills and someone's tuition.
- Wear blue. Make it loud. Colon cancer's color is blue, and this race lives it. Show up in blue, run in a sea of blue, and turn Miramar Regional Park into a movement that's hard to miss.
- Rally a team and pay less. Group of 5 = $15 off. Group of 10 = $30 off. Bring the coworkers, the family, the run club — this race rewards showing up together. Kids 5 and under run free.
- A full morning, not just a 5K. Chip-timed race, opening ceremony, DJ-led warm-up, kids' corner with entertainment, food and health vendors, and an awards ceremony to close it out. The race kicks off at 7:30 AM and the morning keeps going.
RACE HISTORY
Now in its 6th year, the Blue Hope Colon Cancer Awareness 5K has become We Stand Together's signature spring event — a Miramar Regional Park tradition where every blue shirt at the start line fuels emergency financial assistance for cancer patients in treatment and scholarships for students whose lives have been changed by the disease.
