WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- It's the Thanksgiving morning tradition in Broward. 3,000+ runners, walkers, and wobblers every year. You're not running a 5K — you're starting your Thanksgiving the way South Florida starts it.
- You run A1A at sunrise. The Atlantic on one side, palm trees overhead, a South Florida sunrise lighting the way. No prettier course in the county. No better way to earn the turkey.
- Show up as a side dish. Mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole. bonus points for costumes. This isn't a serious race. It's a family-and-friends gobble fest in running shoes.
- Run for two beneficiaries that matter. Proceeds support local charity partners, you're not just burning off the bird, you're giving back before the plate even hits the table.
RACE HISTORY
The Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot has grown into one of Broward County's biggest Thanksgiving traditions — over 3,000 runners every year taking on A1A at sunrise, families dressed as side dishes, all to kick off the holiday with a 5K that actually means something for the community.
