WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- You fund hair prostheses and care for autoimmune patients. Hair Peace & Hope was founded around one mission: providing hair prostheses for women with Mixed-Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD), whose autoimmune condition causes hair loss. Through parent organization Women of H.O.P.E., that mission has grown to include medical assistance, care, and emotional support — all powered by your registration.
- A certified course at Miramar Regional Park. Race goes off at 7:30 AM at one of South Florida's premier park venues. First 300 registrants guaranteed a race tee and finisher medal. Students 5–18 get a discounted $20 entry — bring the whole family.
- Knock it out from anywhere with the virtual option. Out of town? Can't make October 24th? Run it on your own time, on your own course. Email a screenshot of your logged miles and they'll mail you the tee and medal.
RACE HISTORY
Now in its 10th year, the Hair Peace & Hope 5K is the signature fundraiser of Women of H.O.P.E. — a non-profit founded around providing hair prostheses to women with Mixed-Connective Tissue Disease and other autoimmune conditions. Every October at Miramar Regional Park, the community shows up to fund the prostheses, medical care, and emotional support that change autoimmune patients' lives, one stride at a time.
