WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- You start at a real lighthouse. Start and finish at the base of the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse — the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County. No other 5K or 10K in South Florida has a backdrop like this.
- Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, free entry. The course winds through one of Florida's most iconic state parks and the streets of the Village of Key Biscayne. Park entrance fee is waived — stick around after the race and make a day of it.
- Pick your distance — 5K or 10K. Same morning, same lighthouse start, your call. Both run scenic state-park and village miles, with age groups stretching from 8-and-under all the way to 70-and-over.
- The post-race party is the real reward. Food, music, adult beverages, and complimentary post-race massages waiting at the finish. Every finisher walks away with a medal.
RACE HISTORY
Now in its 48th year, the Key Biscayne Lighthouse Run is one of South Florida's longest-running road races — nearly five decades of runners taking on Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, with every dollar of net profit going back to local schools, sports clubs, scholarships, and community charities.
