WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Show up as a superhero. The whole race is themed for it. Action-packed opening ceremonies, power-packed warm-up, a Heroes in Training HQ Kid Zone, and a full Gotham City Festival with community vendors. Capes encouraged. Sidekicks welcome. Secret identities optional.
- Every dollar fuels two organizations that protect kids. All proceeds support Kids In Distress (KID) and Family Central — two organizations dedicated to preventing child abuse, preserving the family, and treating victims of abuse and neglect. You're not running for a tee. You're running so a kid finds their strength.
- 22 years strong. A two-decade Broward institution. This is the 22nd Annual. Most charity 5Ks don't make it past five. KID Hero has built a generation-long legacy of South Floridians showing up at Vista View Park to be the heroes for the kids who need one.
- Built for runners, walkers, and supporters. Chip-timed bib, finisher medal (first 600), race tee. Even non-running supporters get the Hero 5K T-Shirt. Form a team, fundraise, and get into the post-race Awards Party. Every role on the team matters.

Its 22nd year and presented by UKG, the race has grown into one of South Florida's longest-running family fundraisers, taking over Vista View Park every January with capes, costumes, and the call to be a hero for the kids who need one.
