WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- It's FREE. The fastest mile in South Florida, no cost to enter. Most race calendars don't have a $0 entry. The Miramar Mile does. Free for every participant — competitive, open, first responder, junior high, masters, family. Show up and run.
- It's a real mile race — and it's chip-timed with cash on the line. Most South Florida races are 5Ks and up. This one's the rare flat-out mile. CASH prizes for race group winners. Medals for the first 600 finishers. Want to know how fast you actually are? Here's your answer.
- Six heats. Find your speed. Elite Milers (sub-6:00), Open/Fitness (6:00–8:00), Masters (50+), First Responders, Jr High & High School, and Friends & Family. Whether you're chasing a sub-5 or strolling with the kids, you've got a heat. No one's out of place.
- A point-to-point mile straight down Miramar Blvd. Start at the Miramar Branch Library, finish at Ansin Sports Complex — one mile, one straight shot. Then stick around for the Kids' 100m Fun Race, awards, food trucks, giveaways, and a post-race Zumba class. Spots reach fully capacity every year.
RACE HISTORY
4 years strong, the Miramar Mile has become South Florida's signature celebration of speed.
