WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Hosted by the Vice Mayor herself. Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne puts her name on it and shows up at the start line. This isn't a random Thanksgiving 5K — it's the City of Miramar's official turkey trot, run by the people who run the city.
- Cash on the line. Top 3 finishers in each gender take home cash prizes. Most turkey trots hand you a medal and call it a day. This one pays you to be fast.
- Built for the whole family. Games and a bounce house for the kids, vendors, and a festive costume contest for all ages. The race kicks off at 7 AM with an official Miramar Run Club warm-up at 6:30. Trot, then back home in time for the feast.
- Sells out. Every year. The 2025 edition sold out its medals and t-shirts. If you want the swag, you register early — or you show up to run timed and trot for the trot's sake. The demand says it all.
RACE HISTORY
Now in its 3rd year and growing fast, the event has become Miramar's go-to Thanksgiving 5K, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together to trot now and gobble later.
