WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- The longest-running MLK Day race in Miami-Dade. This isn't a new race trying to find its place. It's the MLK Day race in the county — a historic event woven into how Miami honors Dr. King's legacy every January.
- You run for the 5000 Role Models of Excellence. Every dollar of your entry fuels a mentoring program working to reclaim Miami's youth. You're not just running 3.1 — you're funding the next generation.
- Hosted by the Progressive Officers Club. This is a community-rooted race put on by Miami's Progressive Officers Club, bringing together law enforcement, families, and neighbors to honor Dr. King's mission of equality and social justice in the streets where it matters.
- A start line for everyone. Adult 5K and a Student 5K (18 & under) at the same 8:00 AM shotgun start. Bring the whole family — tees for all participants, medals for the top 3 in every age group, prizes and giveaways throughout.
