WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- You run with active-duty Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen. Fleet Week brings hundreds of U.S. service members to Broward County, and they line up at this start line with you. Few 5Ks in the country let you run shoulder-to-shoulder with the troops who serve our country. This one does.
- Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is the course. 2.5 miles of palm-lined oceanfront promenade — the most iconic boardwalk in South Florida — turned into your race route. Atlantic on one side, beach on the other. Hard to beat that backdrop in late April.
- A patriotic morning, not just a race. Color Guard, Sailors and Marines in formation, and other special surprises waiting at the start and finish line. This isn't a casual 5K — it's a salute. Bring the family and bring the flag.
- A Fleet Week tradition reborn in Broward. Fleet Week returned to Broward County in 2025, and this 5K is its official run. You're not just running a race — you're part of the homecoming celebration for the troops visiting Hollywood Beach.
RACE HISTORY
The Fleet Week 5K is the official run of Broward County Fleet Week — the annual visit of U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard service members to South Florida. Held each spring on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, the race brings hundreds of service members together with the community for a patriotic morning of fitness, fellowship, and tribute to the men and women who serve our country.
