WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Pink meets Halloween. On Halloween. Pink-O-Ween is exactly what it sounds like — Breast Cancer Awareness Month meets All Hallows’ Eve on the actual day. Costumes, pink, and the kind of theme crossover you don’t get anywhere else. “Brewing up a cure” is the vibe, and it’s the perfect excuse to lace up as a witch.
- Hosted by the next generation of women lawyers. Put on by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers’ NSU Law chapter. You’re not running a corporate 5K — you’re backing a student-led movement using the law and the pavement to fight for a cure.
- Shaw Field at NSU’s Campus Loop. The 5K takes over the NSU Davie Campus Loop — wide-open roads, flat and fast, and one of South Florida’s biggest academic campuses turned into your course. Easy parking, big-event feel.
RACE HISTORY
The Pink-O-Ween 5K is the signature annual fundraiser of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) at NSU’s Shepard Broad College of Law — a Halloween-day tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month that brings students, faculty, and the broader Davie community to NSU’s Campus Loop every October 31st. One part pink movement, one part costume parade, all parts “brewing up a cure” one 5K at a time.
