WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Every dollar fuels the Sarah Foundation Children's Hospital. This isn't a swag-and-medal race. All proceeds go to Sarah Foundation Children's Hospital — funding care for kids who need it most. You're running so a child gets a better day.
- Hosted by American Heritage School. This is a school-led, community-powered event built around three words: wellness, unity, positivity. AHS families, students, and the broader Broward community on the same start line.
- A 5K for the whole family. 8:00 AM start at the AHS campus on West Broward Blvd. Open to all ages, all abilities. Bring the kids, bring the friends, bring the run club. Show up, run 3.1, change a kid's day.
RACE HISTORY
The 5K for a Better Day is American Heritage School's annual stand for childhood wellness — a Fort Lauderdale tradition now in its 17th-plus year, where students, families, and the broader community gather every February to fund the Sarah Foundation Children's Hospital and the kids whose better days depend on it.
