WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Show up in costume. The course is built for it. The City of Sunrise's family-friendly Halloween 5K wants you in your best costume. Best vampire, witch, ghost, or banana — show up looking the part and own the morning. Tag #seeninsunrise #sunrisetrickortrot and watch your costume hit the city's social feed.
- Every dollar honors paralyzed veterans. Proceeds benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Florida Chapter — serving the veterans who served us. You're not just running for a medal. You're running for the men and women who can't.
- The Kids' Dash makes it a family morning. After the 5K wraps, the Kids' Dash (10 and under) goes off at 8:15 AM. Costumes encouraged. Bring the whole crew — adults race, kids race, everyone gets a tee.
- Hosted by the City of Sunrise itself. This isn't a random Halloween 5K. It's the City's official Trick or Trot — held at the Sunrise Civic Center Amphitheater, run by Leisure Services, backed by the full weight of the city. The kind of community production that sells out year after year.
RACE HISTORY
In its 10th year, the race has become a Sunrise stapble, with every entry supporting the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Florida Chapter and the veterans they serve.
