WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- Every step makes a wish come true. Make-A-Wish Southern Florida grants wishes for kids battling critical illnesses. Your registration, your fundraising, your morning at this event — all of it funds those wishes. You'll never run a more meaningful 5K.
- 5,000+ supporters strong, and growing. This isn't a small turnout. Since launch, over 5,000 supporters have walked, run, and fundraised to make wishes come true one step at a time. You're joining a movement, not just a race.
- It's a feel-good event for everyone. Individuals, student groups, families, corporate teams — there's a place for every kind of participant. This isn't a PR chase. It's a community morning where wish kids, families, and supporters celebrate together.
- Hosted on NSU's campus. The 2026 walk takes over Nova Southeastern University in Davie — wide-open campus, family-friendly course, easy parking. Perfect setup for the entire crew.
RACE HISTORY
Now in its 17th year, the Broward Walk for Wishes has become Make-A-Wish Southern Florida's signature community event — nearly two decades of families, students, and supporters gathering each January to fund life-changing wishes for local children battling critical illnesses, one step at a time.
