WHAT MAKES THIS RACE UNIQUE
- You run at night. On Halloween weekend. 6:30 PM start. The streets of Plantation turn into your course after dark. This isn't a sunrise 5K — it's a fright night.
- A full-on costume contest with nine categories. Horror, Comedy, Fantasy, Steampunk, Couples, Superheroes, Actors, Musicians, and Best Overall. Show up basic, you go home empty-handed. Show up wicked, you take home a trophy.
- Trick-or-treating at the finish. Cross the line into a Halloween Bash in Central Park, vendor stations handing out treats, music, kids, pets, the whole block. The race is the warm-up.
- The Goblin Kids Dash makes it a family night. After the 5K, the kids get their own race at 7:45 PM. Costumes encouraged, candy guaranteed.
RACE HISTORY
A partnership between Wicked Bread and Wildside Online, the Wicked Wild Frightnight 5K has carved out its spot as South Florida's go-to Halloween run, a costume-and-candy takeover of Plantation Central Park where the start line is at dusk and the finish line is a full-blown Halloween bash.
